Government launches land use investigation

The Government's 'futures' think-tank has announced a two-year investigation into the future use of land in the UK.

This initiative will be carried out by the Government's Foresight team, which is in the Government Office for Science within the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.

The examination of land use policy will involve leading academics, consultants and other experts and is being sponsored by Communities and Local Government and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
